Cities we serve
Where we write, and what changes by county
In Texas the county is the unit that actually varies — whether wind is inside your homeowners policy or a separate one, what your flood premium is discounted by, and which court hears a license petition. Seventeen cities, six counties around the metro and six more markets across the state.

SR-22 questions we get every week
How fast can you file my SR-22?
We transmit the certificate to the Texas DPS the same business day you bind coverage. The DPS then takes up to 21 business days to process it onto your driver record — two separate clocks, and most agencies only mention the first.
How long do I need to carry an SR-22 in Texas?
Two years, counted from the date of the conviction rather than from your arrest, your filing, or your reinstatement. If coverage lapses inside that window the DPS is notified automatically, and it costs you a new filing plus another reinstatement fee.
Can I get an SR-22 if I do not own a car?
Yes, and you still have to — having no vehicle does not excuse the requirement. A non-owner SR-22 rides on a non-owner liability policy and covers you driving vehicles you do not own. It is usually the cheapest way through the two years.
